Yes...our feet have landed in Kenya ! After a long journey from Nashville -Detroit on to Amsterdam then another 7 hours to Nairobi. Arriving in Kenya around 8 p.m. we were 2 tired girls ~ On the last leg of the flight I became ill. Not my picture perfect way to enter the country. As we began to pray I felt the mighty hand of God working so please continue to uphold us each day. The airport reminded me much of PV in Mexico.We headed for our visa which included paperwork and a long line. By the time we headed for our baggage I was beginning to feel better. PTL ~ We had our own personal bags along with ministry suitcases so our load was large. It all arrived with us ..praising God for another answer to our prayers. Our sweet Sabina and son met us with excited happy faces ! Forgot to mention...we saw the most amazing sunset and sunrise all in one day on the plane !
The night was cool which felt refreshing. We rode back to Sabina`s house through busy traffic, high rises and the night lights glowing. Driving on the opposite side in the front seat was fun for me. Kennedy (son) is a great driver and once more the driving reminded me of Mexico. I was thankful for the blessing to be here and and to soon to be ministering.
Sabina had a light meal of red beans,rice and chicken for us prepared. Going to bed was not difficult with sleep coming quickly...ahhhh...a bed ! Sleep was interrupted by another bout of being ill for several hours. Morning came....Kenyan tea to help me feel better ~ A great day resting and drinking my coke with some warm sun and cool air.
Bet you did not know Pringles are called "Kracks" in Kenya...gotta love it ~~
There is a huge palm tree in the front yard along with an avocado tree next door with plenty of them hanging heavily from the branches. Guess what we had for lunch ?? It was yummy ~
