Preparing for the Journey ~

We are so excited to go and show love to the people of Kenya. Julie (founder and director of Fit for the King Ministries) and I will be leaving on Monday, Sept.19th...less than 2 weeks. Although we are ready to get there and serve, we are still in need of funds to help once we reach Kenya. We will be buying flip flops - $3.pair and $20. for rice, beans and maize. We continue to need an ipad, new or used, that will be taken abroad or used in the field in the U.S. Donations are tax deductible ~ If you are interested in being a part of this journey and partnering with us financially, please go to the Fit for the King Ministries link. Thank you very much !

Threads of Mercy has been created specifically for this Kenya trip. We will be posting regular updates as we continue to prepare for our trip, as well as while we are in Kenya. You will find prayer requests, praise reports, photos and updates on all that God is doing in us and through us.

We would love to have you partner with us in prayer. Please pray for safe travel and each aspect of our travel, including luggage, flight connections and time zone adjustments. Pray for good health and that God will use us in mighty ways in the lives of all we come into contact with. Thank you so much for your prayers and support.

Isaiah 61:1-2
...."that through our actions, He has sent us to comfort those whose hearts are broken, and to tell the captives they are free."

  4. It is hard to believe after over a year of praying and planning that we are less than two weeks away for being on the ground once again in Kenya! Surreal. The one thing I am certain of is that knowing God....we have more to expect than we could ever imagine! ~Julie
